Cavan Biggio, son of Hall of Famer Craig Biggio, has found a new home with the Los Angeles Dodgers after being released by the Toronto Blue Jays. The versatile utility player is eager to make a fresh start with the Dodgers and prove that he still has plenty to offer in the Major Leagues.

Biggio had a disappointing season with the Blue Jays in 2022, batting just .208 with 12 home runs and 52 RBIs. He was designated for assignment on January 20, 2023, and subsequently released.

The Dodgers, who are looking to bolster their bench depth, quickly swooped in to sign Biggio to a one-year contract. The 28-year-old will compete for playing time at multiple positions, including second base, third base, and the outfield.
